Neodymium magnets are several times stronger than common ferrite magnets.
The magnet is magnetized along the axis. This means that the poles of the magnet are on the flat sides.
If you place two magnets flat side to flat side, they will either repel (same poles) or attract (opposite poles).
Both sides of the magnet are attracted to objects made of iron, nickel, cobalt, steel, or other ferromagnetic material.
