Smooth and matte finish
The use of specially selected matte PEI film can give the bottom surface of the printed object a smooth and matte texture, improving its overall appearance.
Compatible with various filaments
PEI allows printing not only on common materials such as PLA, TPU, and PETG, but also on materials requiring high temperatures such as ABS and Nylon.
Note: When printing on filaments other than PLA, apply adhesive to prevent the sheet from tearing. For example, 3D Lac, Dimafix
Reliable magnetic adhesion that prevents deformation
Bambu Smooth PEI Plate contains a 0.5 mm thick spring steel plate that increases magnetic adhesion. This helps prevent warping and ensures optimal print quality during 3D printing. It also helps when printing larger models with materials that are prone to warping, such as ABS, PC, and Nylon.
Note: The Smooth PEI sheet cannot be peeled off the build plates.
NOTES:
- Please note that with the Smooth PEI plate on A1, there is a higher risk of the plate warping at the corners or models separating from the plate. This is due to the thicker layer of Smooth PEI applied to the sheet, which increases the distance from the bed magnets and reduces magnetic attraction.
- If bubbles appear on the bottom of the sheet, it may be helpful to heat it on a heated pad at a temperature of at least 80 degrees for several hours to remove the bubbles.
- Dust and grease deposits on the heated bed reduce adhesion. To maintain the best adhesion, it is recommended to clean the surface regularly with detergent and water.
- Do not clean Smooth PEI with acetone, as this will damage the PEI surface.
- Always wait a few minutes for the plate to cool before removing printed models so that the print can be easily removed. This will prevent damage to the plate and ensure a long product life.
- Careful sanding of the surface with fine sandpaper (600 grit recommended) can help restore adhesion.
- The Smooth PEI sheet is considered a consumable part that will deteriorate over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects, not cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, or cracks. Only defective sheets upon delivery are covered by the warranty.
